An elegant, human identity for a boutique web agency
The team at Bluehouse Group reached out in late 2024 with a familiar ask — their existing branding felt dated and stale, and no longer representative of the caliber of their work. As a boutique web agency based in Burlington, VT, they could deliver work that rivaled that of larger and bigger-name, "big city" firms, but with much less expense and drama for their clients. They knew that the visual appeal of their own website in particular was doing them a disservice, and that although they had deep expertise in UX design, information architecture, and engineering, they didn't have the creative direction capabilities in house to create a modernized visual identity that did their work justice.
I worked closely with the leadership team and in-house designers and engineers to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of their old brand, and create a new look and feel that felt elegant and modern. We landed on an identity that speaks to the craftsmanship and quality they imbue in their work, as well as a connection to the natural world that connects to their roots in Vermont. The resulting brand and redesigned site sets them up to attract more projects on a national scale.
