An evolving identity for an online spiritual community

Nearness cofounders Casper ter Kuile and Alec Gewirtz approached me in early 2022 with a challenge to develop an identity "worthy of reverence" for their new venture, a community and curriculum designed to help people reconnect with spirituality outside of organized religion. I worked with Casper and Alec from a very early stage, developing the original brand, as well as designing and implementing their website, developing marketing materials, and creating key assets to support the first cohort of members through their journey.

In late 2023, Nearness made the strategic decision to pivot its messaging, focusing less on mystery and spirituality in favor of a more neutral, accessible personality. I was honored to be trusted with designing a new brand to support their continued evolution.
